Summary

CHS is looking for a Brand Agreement and Compliance Specialist to join our Refined Fuels Marketing team. The successful candidate will support the creation, management, and ongoing market assessments and evaluation of all branded agreements and incentive programs within CHS refined fuels. Additionally, this role performs compliance functions in the areas of image standards and branded fuel volume. This individual is a key conduit to the refined fuels sales and retail development teams, leveraging effective communication skills for efficiency to market for CHS and our customers. You must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, have excellent written and spoken communication skills and be a true collaborator all while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate new to brand prospects through market evaluation and contextual discussion with appropriate sales colleagues and marketing leadership

  • Enforce the requirements associated with the Cenex brand and proprietary products for retail and agricultural markets.

  • Continuously monitor competitive offerings in the marketplace to ensure customer demands are met.

  • Manage and enforce branded distributor and marketer agreements for all refined fuels customers.

  • Create and manage the end-to-end responsibility behind the process of creating, executing, filing and enforcing all agreement types across all customer relationships.

  • Work closely with the legal department on creating and maintaining all customer agreements.

  • Work closely with the agreements coordinator to ensure agreement processes are timely and executed fully.

  • Maintain a solid understanding of and compliance with all Petroleum Marketer Practices Act (PMPA) requirements.

  • Respond to questions and inquiries from key audiences including, but not limited to field staff (sales and retail development), branded marketers, cooperative leaders and sales teams and CHS employees regarding Cenex marketing programs, promotions and products.

  • Cultivate and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations.

  • Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School diploma or GED

  • 2+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, and/or Sales Business Operations

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field

  • Systems/processes experience, such as CRM

  • Knowledge of the cooperative system

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Proficiency with the following computer applications: MS Office, Adobe Acrobat Writer, MS Access, CRM, Power BI

  • Retail, petroleum and/or energy experience

  • Experience creating and implementing incentive programs, and creating metrics to measure their effectiveness

  • Experience comprehending and editing legal documents

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
